Measurement of atmospheric pollutants

SUMA technicians have an extensive background in measurements of gaseous and particle air pollutants (particulate matter or particle-size distributions, combustion gases, trace gases such as dioxins and furans, acids, individual VOCs, siloxanes, and a long et cetera) as a result of working experience in research and testing laboratories.

Our specialty is planning (with the client) and executing complex measurement campaigns, which essentially consist of simultaneous measurements at some measuring points (in the case of air quality or diffuse emissions) or at points before and after a abatement system (in order to determine its destruction/removal efficiency for channeled emissions).

To carry out these campaigns, we have a large number of sampling systems and continuous analyzers, both for gases and for particles. We take care of it and perform verification tests with our own primary standards. In addition to our own measuring techniques, we offer our clients the coordination and supervision of numerous external analytical techniques (SEM and TEM electron microscopy, analytical ICP-MS, Raman Spectroscopy, XPS, DRX, etc.), by providing interpretation and guidance for the obtained results.

We can say that we measure where no one else measures, turning to our experience, either in R&D or in commercial projects, either in pilot or in industrial plants, allows us to offer specialized measuring even in sources with unconventional compositions and in adverse conditions.
